Here are my five reasons why athletes are the best form of influencer 👇

1. Athletes genuinely influence people

At Hochberg Sports Marketing, we see 2–3x higher conversion rates and CTRs when athlete marketing partnerships are done right vs. campaigns with standard influencers

2. Athletes provide brands with instant legitimacy

While anyone can become a creator or an influencer in 2022, not everyone can become a collegiate or pro athlete. In fact, it’s the opposite. Roughly 7% of HS athletes play a sport in college and out of the 7%, just 2% turn pro

3. Athletes generate natural storylines

Recovery products, protein drinks, etc… between competition, training, travel, & more, athletes use these products consistently and need to use them in order to stay on top of their game. Natural fits = impactful partnerships

4. Athletes produce headlines

When athletes are working on initiatives away from the field, people take notice. Investing, entrepreneurship, charity work, etc. Attaching your brand to that athlete and their off-field work is priceless

5. Athletes get stuff done

Because of the above reasons, athletes create change. Whether it’s as simple as hopping on a zoom call with your company to improve morale or as big as building a new school in a community of need, athletes can create far-reaching & positive change
